ENGLISH

English, students study, use, and enjoy language and literature communicated
orally, visually, or in writing.

and physical education, students learn about their own well-being, and that of
others and society, in health - related and movement contexts.

understand the need to maintain personal fitness, hygiene and nutrition

good range of movement, co-ordination, skills and the ability to apply these
in a range of contexts.
To enable
students to achieve we will:

our cornerstone values to underpin positive relationships and self image,
using a variety of programmes to support personal safety and well-being
- provide
regular daily fitness, awareness of healthy eating and personal hygiene

- provide
a balanced physical education programme and opportunities to participate in
a range of sports contexts where the principles of fair play are a key

THE ARTS
In the
arts, students explore, refine, and communicate ideas as they connect thinking,
imagination, senses, and feelings to create works and respond to the works of
others.

various tools, techniques and artistic media associated with the arts

drama and dance )

SCIENCE

science, students explore how both the natural physical world and science itself
work so that they can participate as critical, informed, and responsible
citizens in a society in which science plays a significant role

summarising, concluding and researching to conduct an investigation to
achieve an end result
To enable
students to achieve we will:

TECHNOLOGY

technology, students learn to be innovative developers of products and systems
and discerning consumers who will make a difference in the world.

INFORMATION
COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT)

to enhance and reinforce learning across the curriculum

relevant information as part of the inquiry process of learning

range of ways to communicate and present learning
To enable
students to achieve this we will:
- provide
the equipment as funds are available
- keep up
to date with current developments to enable on going review of potential
equipment that could form part of the school ICT structure
- provide
on going professional development to enable students to gain maximum use of
equipment for learning
ASSESSMENT
Students
will have the opportunity to:
- be
involved in a range of assessment tasks
- be
regularly assessed in all curriculum areas to guide the planning and
teaching
- receive
informative feedback on their progress and learning

involved in the development of assessment tasks

active participants in the reporting to parents process
To enable
students to achieve this we will:
- provide
opportunity for student involvement in planning assessment
- ensure
there are regular opportunities for a variety of assessment activities eg

the students in the mid year conference so they can share with their parents
aspects of their learning
BOOSTER PROGRAMME

eg one day school

the school liaise with parents to develop specific talents using extra
